We had a great Labor Day weekend, thank you to all who rode with us and apologies to those who arrived to find no tours available. Due to the ability of booking on the internet everything booked up very fast. The weather seems to be breaking a little and giving some relief from the intense heat. The Children are back to school and fall will be upon us before we know it. Caddo has a moth that feeds on the leaves of the Cypress Trees and this year they have arrived in abundance! They hang over the water on a web and are a bit of a nuisance but because they feed on the foliage of the Cypress the trees appear dead or as though they have shed their leaves as in fall. This means that the fall colors will not be quite as intense as they should be. Nature does it’s own thing and we just have to deal with it. The moths are supposed to follow a seven years cycle but they were here only 2 years ago, I guess the weather changes have something to do with it. We would love to have you come for a relaxing and informative tour and experience the uniqueness of Caddo Lake, while you are here you can have a wonderful meal at Big Pines Lodge. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars. Stay safe and healthy.
